Step 1
Old Siding Removal
We start by carefully removing your existing siding, preserving the underlying sheathing. Depending on the size and type of siding, this usually takes two to seven days. While some materials can be swiftly removed, others may take more time. For new homes, this step is skipped.
Step 2
Sheathing Inspection and Repair
We thoroughly inspect your sheathing for any damage like rot or mold that may need repairs before installation. If repairs are necessary, we'll provide an estimate and timeframe. Most homes don't need sheathing repair, so we typically move smoothly to the next step.
Step 3
Preparation of the Wall for Siding
Here, we install building paper, flashings, and strapping/mesh to protect against water damage. Optionally, we can add a rainscreen system for better ventilation, extending your siding's lifespan by up to a decade.
Step 4
Siding Installation and Touch-up
We install the siding and trim boards, incorporating necessary elements like insect screens, flashings, and vents. Then, we meticulously touch up paint to nails for a seamless finish. Installations usually take between 8 and 15 days, depending on factors like siding type and home size.
Step 5
Clean-up and Waste Removal
Finally, we clean up and recycle all construction debris, leaving your property pristine. The only evidence of our work will be your stunning new siding. Upon completion, your project manager will inspect the work and discuss warranties and maintenance tips with you, ensuring the longevity and beauty of your new siding. Now, your home is protected by expertly installed siding, giving you peace of mind and a beautiful exterior.
